Breakfast at Barneys

Downtown: shopping excursions, daytime mayhem…nothing like curing those mean blues than a visit to Barneys (or Tiffany’s) – alas San Francisco doesn’t have a Bergdorf’s, but if it did, that would surely take the cake!

Regardless, [window] shopping is exhausting and you need some good sustenance! And just your luck, there is a most eclectic and exotic little shop in the heart of downtown that will add fuel to your fire – quite literally, with its spicy cayenne kombucha!

Crêpe O Chocolat is a cute litte refuge that serves chocolate crepes (of course), french toast, quiches and other brunch staples as well as more unique (vegan) options like roasted butternut squash with faro, arugula salad with quinoa, lentils and roasted brussels sprouts (perfectly seasoned in a light vinaigrette)… as well as plenty of gluten free deserts, coconut crumbles and light as air chocolate mousses.

Brown sugar ginger lemonades take the dreariness of out any day and you will feel prefectly content sipping a coffee at the outdoor tables at Crêpe O Chocolat, just a hop and a skip away from sniffing Yosh Han’s perfumes…or fingering the fine china at Gump’s.

Because, you know, sometimes you need a little pick-me-up (something that only a glass of French cider and a pack of lotion made by Florentine monks can cure)!
