The best minds of your generation need a program like San Francisco Art & Film for Teenagers. Founded by artist and educator Ronald Chase, Art & Film provides an outlet for students to dip into the artistic life; meet talented mentors, take workshops, vist galleries, have fabulous dinner parties, see foreign and art house films and even take summer trips to Europe – in short its a program unlike any other in the nation, set to give Bay Area youth from all schools in the vicinity the foundation to be worldly, knowledgable, fascinating people. In fact Art & Film’s moto is we give you what school’s can’t.

To keep the giving coming make an appearance at Art & Film’s Beat inspired fundraising party on Kerouac Alley – celebrating Kerouac (of course), Ginsberg, Cassady and all the birth of cool. 50’s short films, jazz, and play acting from Ginsberg’s HOWL will be on the menu as well as food and drink from Vesuvio cafe. (As HOWL is all the rage these days why not experience it in the loci it was first published, staggering to the steps of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s City Lights Books.)

Kerouac Alley will be closed off for the event and if you dress like your favorite Beatnick you can win a prize….So come celebrate in style – you’ll be supporting a great cause!
