It’s warm out. You need a popsicle. An ice cold lemonade. A watermelon slushy. Thankfully there is a perfect little place in Hayes Valley replete with palms and whicker chairs and plenty of fruity concoctions for your every whim and fancy: Mandarina!
Now you can dine al-fresco, with an ice pop in tow… with such tantalizing flavors as chili-mango-lime, apple-ginger and blueberry-pineapple, you can almost forget its a high of 76 degrees out (and nearly December)! And fresh fruit is instantly uplifting when its so brightly neon and just squeezed…allowing you to while away the hours, soaking in the spa-like atmosphere as you indulge (guilt-free of course, cause its all natural!)
The Roman poet Juvenal satirized politicians and the public as caring only for the superficiality of “panem et circenses†(bread and circuses). It is possible that little has changed over the centuries!
